A perfect bedtime story and children's picture book. This humorous, delightful story is about a little ladybug who is puzzled by her looks.
On her journey she meets many different creatures with their own little quirks that will cheer up the reader.
The book ends with a nice evening atmosphere that makes it a great bedtime reading!

I read this book to A as I know she likes ladybugs. This is a cute story with not very many pictures but that is okay. The ladybug who is named Lady isn't too happy with the same clothes they are red with black polka dots. Her mother tries to explain that their colors and patterns are important to them, and she wouldn't want to be like the other insects. Still Lady is not happy so her mother sends her out to go look behind the tree stump.
While there she meets a toadstool, a toad and a snail. Each are unique and give Lady some thoughtful things to think about. We are left with Lady learning that she should be happy with how she looks because it is special and very important.
