Ellie and Pudgy--characters based on Elle's two favorite stuffed animals--have had many grand adventures. Now, in the fifth installment of the Amazing Adventures of Ellie the Elephant series, the curious duo decides to take a look at the origins of the food they eat every day.
This decision takes them to a farm and garden where they get a chance to ride on a big red tractor, feed a bottle to a baby goat, sit on eggs to keep them warm, and take part in many other hands-on experiences that will delight both children and parents. Readers will learn about different types of farm-grown food, meet many friendly, real animals, as well as laugh at the use of animal sounds in the story.
At the end of the day, Ellie and Pudgy settle in for a snack made from all the different foods they found at the farm. Their unbreakable friendship and sense of adventure are sure to encourage young readers to use their imaginations when it comes to their own favorite stuffed animals!

We received this book to give an honest review.

A really loved this book and I knew she would because she loves animals of any sort. I call her my animal whisper. With this story we are taken to the farm with Ellie and Pudgy who are two stuffed animals that go on an amazing adventure. They get to see all sorts of animals that live on a farm and we get a little humor out of this one. Such as when they see Grits the horse and she tells them to go visit Thunder her "neigh-bor." The whole book was enjoyable and fun to read with A. She liked being able to say which animals were what and the pictures were very awesome. They are real pictures and not drawn which is cool. At the end we get a few activities that we can do though I don't like writing in a book so I will be making copies for A and her brother to do if they want.
