Review: Busy Machines by Peter Lawson

Busy Machines have lots of work to do, on the building site, at the farm and around the town. This book teaches toddlers and young children all about the Busy Machines and their drivers using bright colorful illustrations and simple clear text. At the end of the book there's a mix and match quiz for the reader to test what they've learnt.

This is a perfect book for the younger kids. My son is 7 and enjoyed the book a bit. He liked knowing what machines did what. They also show women drivers which I think is good to have as it is not just guys who can drive machines. And at the end there is a memory type game as to can you remember what person drove what machine? I thought was really good to have so you can see if your child remembers what was just read. Me and K both learned about a new truck called a Lorry. Never heard of one of those before so that was pretty cool! The pictures are colorful and capture your eye.
If your young child loves machines than I would say get this, it is short and not very long. Perfect for a cuddle on the couch or a read before bedtime.
