We received this book to give an honest review.
We have fallen in love with Captain No Beard and his adventures with his mates. With this story we had a good laugh especially at the end with Captain No Beard's new crew member. Normally with this series you get a moral of something within the story. With this one you don't. But it was great to see that Captain No Beard had to play with his younger sister, (which is awesome because K has a younger sister that he doesn't like to play with often) so it was nice to show him look Captain No Beard is playing with his sibling. Even though he doesn't like it, he still does and he even has fun!
K loved the whole book but we both laughed when Captain No Beard says, "Mom," he yelled in his best captain's voice, "Report to the poop deck."
If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend you pick up this series and see what all the laughter and good story telling is about.
About the author:
Award winning author Carole P. Roman is a former teacher turned businesswoman. She has successfully run a family business with her husband that employs close to five hundred people. Her most favorite job is being grandmother to her many grandchildren. Roman has two wonderful sons and hit the jackpot in the daughter-in-law department. She currently lives on Long Island with her husband.
Her first book, Captain No Beard - An Imaginary Tale of a Pirate's Life has been named to Kirkus Reviews' Best of 2012 as well garnered the star of remarkable merit.
